This is an open course, so please respect all Vermont traffic laws!
It's been pretty dry around here lately. When I rode the course last there were only a few muddy sections at the top of Birdseye Rd and the top of Dayton Hill Rd. The weather is looking pretty great right now.
There will be 1 feedzone, located at the north end of Dayton Hill Rd. This puts it conveniently at mile 24.5 and 36.5. There will be Water, Honey Stinger energy products, Apples, Bike Tools, and more!
Riders are invited to join us in front of the Waldron Athletic Center for Switchback beer, VT Bean Burger, Live Music, Raffle Prizes, and more! You will be given a wristband and 2 drink tickets at registration. Awards will be given out after 12pm depending on when riders come in.
This is a Gravel Course with a few pretty rough sections of Class 4 Road. Plan accordingly. Carrying an extra tube, tools, patch kit, and pump/co2 is recommended. Road bikes are not recommended. The weather will be chilly at the start, but will get up into the 70's as the day progresses. Bring enough water to last you at least until the first aid station at mile 24.5
If you have any issues while on course, you can call and we will try and help you as best we can. If there is a medical emergency please call 911 first. We will have vehicles out if you need a ride back to town.
